His Story

His Story Pic 1 I had known I was going to ask Lisa to marry me for a while., but I wanted to make it special. Once we had decided to go to Disneyland after Mike and Carrie's wedding, I knew that was where I wanted to do it. I bought a diamond and went back to the jewelry store where Lisa had picked out her favorite ring when we went ring shopping. Even though I forgot which one was her favorite (oops), one ring talked to me and it turned out to be perfect. His Story Pic 2
While we were at Carrie's wedding, we somehow got onto the subject of our own wedding, and when we would be tying the knot. Lisa was asking some very direct questions and making some good points, but what was I supposed to say, "Just wait 12 hours!" So I had to backpedal thoughout the conversation and try not to get my foot lodged in my mouth too far.His Story Polaroid 3
The next day, I had to continue to be sly and not let on what we were really doing at Disneyland...meanwhile I have this huge box in my right pocket and I have to make sure I am on Lisa's right the whole time. When we got to Disneyland it seemed to take forever to get into the park, but I wasn't nervous (which I usually get). I was anticipating the moment and just feeling like what I was doing was the right thing. His Story Polaroid 4
I wanted to do it in front of the castle so I insisted we go to the Walt Disney statue to take a picture. When it was our turn I pulled the ring out of my pocket and lost all sense of consciousness. Everything got hazy and I really don't remember what I said or what she said. I just remember someone saying "I think she said 'yes'" after Lisa and I embraced and I kissed my fiancee for the first time. It was the greatest moment I won't ever remember.
